Bronze Courses
| Aim of the course | To teach techniques which will enable the trainee to make small bronze pieces therefore giving him/her the possibility to join the world of bronze sculpture at a very reasonable cost : the set up of a small workshop will not exceed 250 Euros. | |
| Course programme |
- 1st and 2nd days : modelling of the beeswax, various heating techniques : charcoal fire, hair-dryer, hot air-gun, hot water. - 3rd and 4th days : making of the moulds which are a mixture of horse or donkey manure and sand or grog (clay which has been fired then reduced to powder). - 5th day : smelting of the various metals (copper, zinc, tin) and pouring, breaking of the moulds, finishing and simple patinas. At the end of the course, each trainee receives an aide-mémoire. |

| Formula 1 | In my workshop in Montaut, a small village in the South-West of France, situated between Mont-de-Marsan and Dax. | ![]() |
| Formula 2 | During events organized anywhere in France (i.e. Dordogne, Brittany, Vendée…). Generally, the organization provides accommodation at a very reasonable price. | ![]() |
| In each case, the minimum number of trainees is 4 and maximum 8. Below 4 trainees, the course is cancelled. | ||
| Caution | Do not forget to get an antitetanus injection. Horse manure ranks high for tetanus. TETANUS IS A DEADLY SICKNESS. | |

For 5 days i.e. 40 hours : 600 Euros.
This does not include meals and accommodation but includes all the necessary tools and materials to work with. Also included : collection and delivery to the airport (Pau or Biarritz) or the railway station (Dax). |
